This effort will include daily applications and systems support for UNIX/LINUX Windows Server applications. This support shall include but shall not be limited to the following: Perform Local and Remote System Admin functions. Manage User Accounts, Profiles and Groups. Manage User Rights. Monitor System Performance. Perform alert monitoring and maintenance. Monitor System Error Logs. Perform system and database backups. RHEL 6 and 7 configuration to include installation and maintenance of ACAS Security Center and Scanners. Advanced UNIX/LINUX Redhat Linux experiencepreferred, including installation, maintenance and hardening of OS. Strong familiarity with Yum/rpm/Satellite updates and package management. Advanced Windows Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012 R2 configuration to include installation, configuration and maintenance of McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO/HBSS) in addition to operating system(s). MSSQL Server 2014 configuration, maintenance, and hardening. Familiarity with Virtualization administration (VMware, VSphere) of both UNIX/LINUX and Windows systems. Other duties as required.
Required: Strong UNIX/LINUXWindows Admin (7+ years of experience). Virtual Machine Experience (7+ years of experience). General networking experience (10+ years of experience). CompTIA Security + certification required.
Highly Desired Skill Set: Scripting, providing end to end support for project infrastructure that involves server & application monitoring, and event management with tools provided (ACAS, HBSS, SCAP, STIG, etc). Troubleshoot issues in monitoring and data collection on the monitored servers. Suggest and/or implement solutions to resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction. Suggest and/or implement enhancements to the existing infrastructure. Perform capacity analysis of existing infrastructure. Interact with 3rd party support vendors for problem resolution. Familiarity with backup and BMR with Avamar backup client/server application.
Desired: Ability to perform proactive monitoring to provide 24x7 support to the Agency. Good documentation skills and ability to upkeep change control documentation. Ability to script is a plus. Knowledge and experience in STIG application and procedures, and IA Certification of systems desired. PKI implementation and maintenance.
Candidate must be able to obtain a DoD Common Access Card which will require the successful completion of a NACI investigation. DoD Secret clearance is preferable. This is a full-time position, located in Fort Lee, VA.
