Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelors' Degree in Accounting.
Five (5) years of experience in taxation; strong knowledge of tax law plus experience preparing and reviewing Federal and state income tax returns.
Knowledge of the health care industry and products; experience with tax issues surrounding employer-provided health benefits.
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience researching tax issues, laws, and conducting research using databases.
Knowledge of tax research methodologies, resources, and web-based tax research engines.
Experience in the tax audit process.
Ability to build strong working relationships with internal management, staff from various divisions and external vendors.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Experience with in-person interactions with Federal and/or state auditors.
Experience with insurance company taxation.
Public accounting experience.
Licensed CPA or Masters' Degree in Taxation.
