Seeking individual with experience as an assistant underwriter for casualty lines who desires to become a full-fledged underwriter.
*** Assess risk factors and evaluate individual risk exposures through analyzing applications, reports, contracts, credit reports, loss runs, etc.
*** Work with senior underwriters for the purposes of underwriting new and renewal submissions
*** Assist in growing a book of business focused on casualty programs.
*** Evaluate submissions that lay beyond the MGA's authority and approve or deny based on risk and other factors.
*** 2+ years relevant experience
*** Proven success underwriting various classes of Primary Casualty.
