The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is seeking a Staff Physician. The position is as primary care provider in the UHealth Department of Family Medicine at the Kendall Satellite office. The duties will include but not be exclusive to:

1) Caring for patients within the office environment

2) Working 9-10 half day shifts per week

3) Night and weekend call equal to the other physicians

4) Supervising residents and medical students during continuity clinic in the office and other rotations within the office facility

5) Participating in education sessions and workshops

6) Staying current with general family medicine literature

7) Administrative duties equivalent to other physicians

8) Supervising office personnel when appropriate

9) Any other duties necessary to practice excellent family medicine care

The minimum requirements are as follows: M.D. degree and three years of relevant experience required. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority. As a result, during the Influenza ("the flu") season (September through April), the University of Miami School of Medicine requires all employees who provide ongoing services to patients, work in a location (all Hospitals and clinics) where patient care is provided, or work in patient care or clinical care areas, to have an annual influenza vaccination.
