Position Description

Dynetics is seeking a talented Mid- to Senior-Level Software Developer to join our Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Trainer development team. The position involves using modern software processes and tools in the development of simulations that provide the capability to train warfighters around the world in the operations of various UAS platforms.

The team consists of highly skilled developers that value utilizing new technologies, identifying best practices, and working together to solve challenging problems. As part of following an Agile software development process, our team is always looking to improve how our software is developed.

Basic Qualifications

Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree, and preferably a Master’s Degree, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

The Mid-level candidate must have 5-10 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 3-8years of experience with a Master’s Degree. The Senior-level candidate must have 10-15years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8-13 years of experience with a Master’s Degree.

Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of C#, C++, data structures, object-oriented design, and effective unit testing. Candidate must have experience developing and/or integrating distributed system software components with ample understanding of network protocols, concurrency, and asynchronous communications. Candidate must be self-motivated, mentor and guide team members, and demonstrate good communication skills.

Other Qualifications

Knowledge and experience with CMMI, Agile, Scrum, Git, .NET Framework, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio, STANAG 4586, and design patterns are a plus.

Examples of programming completed as part of the candidate’s undergraduate or graduate degree program, or as developed and maintained for hobby/recreational purposes, are highly desired for review and evaluation (e.g., links to personal GitHub account are acceptable).

Security Requirements

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
