LeClairRyan is currently seeking a Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney in New Haven, Connecticut who will contribute to overall success and help secure the bright future of the Firm.

LeClairRyan’s New Haven, Connecticut Office is located at 545 Wharf Drive in the Long Wharf Maritime Center. This location offers fantastic views of the New Haven Harbor and the Long Island Sound along with high quality legal services to all clients. With approximately 16 attorneys and approximately 10 professional support staff, LeClairRyan’s New Haven team provides services in a multitude of litigation and corporate practice areas including estate and trust, business, employment, healthcare, insurance, premise, products, and professional liability and medical malpractice defense. Additional practice areas include private wealth services, real-estate matters, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, and immigration and naturalization. LeClairRyan looks forward to growing our presence in Connecticut.

The attorney will support a growing wealth planning practice focused on tax and trust planning and fiduciary administration for successful individuals, their families and family offices. Relevant experience includes trust drafting, exposure to sophisticated wealth transfer techniques, estate and trust administration, charitable planning and/or business succession planning.

Required Skills

Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience focused on tax and trust planning.
  • This position is also open to more senior level associates with greater years of experience.
  • Candidates must have excellent client skills, attention to detail, a high degree of professionalism, and demonstrate initiative and follow-through while managing multiple, competing deadlines.
  • Candidates must be very organized, proactive, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Connecticut bar admissionrequired.
