- Define new and updated policies in collaboration with Legal and Product

- Draft and maintain up to date and relevant policy documentation and guidelines both internally and externally

- Act as global escalation point, handle time-sensitive policy escalations from operations teams and internal stakeholders

- Coordinate with Global Customer Operations and other internal stakeholders to communicate policy updates on a regular basis through written communications, meetings and trainings

- Work with review teams closely to ensure global consistency for policy implementation

- Analyze trends related to policy issues across the industry and identify optimizations to policy

- Build strong relationships with Product and Engineering stakeholders and act as the Policy Consultant for the owned product

- Propose product and tooling improvements pertaining to policy and influence prioritization decisions

- Manage policy related projects, identify milestones and drive projects to completion

Basic Qualifications:

- 4+ years of experience in policy, enforcement or public policy in the tech industry

- BA/BS degree

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced degree in Public Policy, International Relations, Psychology, Political Science, or Law

- Outstanding organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills

- Solid understanding of how policy decisions impact both products and operations

- Excellent relationship skills; ability to establish credibility and rapport with technical and non-technical team members and to work collaboratively and cross-functionally, ability to build consensus amongst stakeholders

- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to understand business and technical requirements and "speak the language" of the various stakeholders

- Ability to influence and negotiate prioritization of policy changes

- Ability to multi-task effectively and maintain a high level of attention to detail

- Ability to perform under pressure and deliver with tight timeline

- Ability to adapt to changing business and technical conditions

- Experience with metrics, analysis and other data-driven decision making

- Ability to develop working knowledge of technical aspects of systems, including configuration, settings, logging, and permissions
