Why This Job Exists: Job Summary/Scope of Impact

TICF was established in October 2015 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Industries Corporation ("TICO") and acquired all assets relating to material handling equipment and commercial trucks previously managed by Commercial Finance organization operated under Toyota Motor Credit Corporation ("TMCC"). This acquisition was strategically executed to strengthen TICO's overall sales finance business within the United States and globally. During the past several months, TICF has placed its priority in establishing a new Finance Organization and this position plays an integral role for supporting our growth within the United States and becoming a leading captive sales finance organization for TICO and in the industry globally. This position is part of Treasury Management group under TICF Finance Organization and will make significant impact by performing the following main functions:

  • Manage TICF's Treasury and Cash management daily operations and activities including daily cash forecasting and monitoring, transaction processing, debt settlement confirmations, bank file communications and interfaces, bank account reconciliation and reporting.
  • Manage enterprise Commercial Finance customers payment channels (i.e. Web-Pay solutions, PayConnexion, Wholesale Lockbox, etc.) including performance review of existing and future customer payment strategies.
  • Lead enterprise Cash Management and Treasury projects and initiatives by proactively identifying and incorporating new products, structures and technologies that can improve funds availability, minimize operational risk and provide straight-through processing of commercial and financial transactions.
  • Manage TIGCF's Treasury Management Systems and bank connectivity solutions
  • Manage policies and procedures of Treasury Operations, Cash Management and Treasury Systems functions.
  • Coordinates and execute Treasury's disaster, recovery, and business continuity planning to supportTreasury operations, systems availability and support.

What You'll Do: Major Accountabilities

50%: Treasury Operations & Cash Management

  • Manage TICF's Treasury and Cash management daily operations activities including daily cash flow forecast, financial and commercial transactions processing, bank file communications, bank account reconciliation and reporting.
  • Monitor TICF's liquidity position, including monitoring of established KRIs and KPIs, following TICF Treasury Policy and funding strategies.
  • Work closely with Treasury Risk team, monitoring liquidity risk positions, providing in-depth analysis to support effective Treasury funding planning and decisions (Cost of Funds analysis and liquidity stress scenarios, etc.).
  • Develop, monitor and train cash management personnel to perform daily cash transaction processing, trade settlements, position consolidation and reconciliation activities using enterprise Treasury Management systems and other bank portals and /or systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of daily processes by developing process flows and performance metrics to continuously improve and refine treasury operations.
  • Coordinate with Accounting and FP&A groups on all treasury or cash-related information, including general ledger and financialreporting activity.
  • Manage enterprise Commercial Finance customers payment channels (i.e. Web-Pay solutions, PayConnexion, Wholesale Lockbox, etc.) including performance review of existing and future customer payment strategies.
  • Manage integration of all new products and service into daily cash routines (Asset Back Securities, Tax payments, Accounts Payables, Intercompany loan, Commercial Paper, Long Term Debt issuance, etc.).
  • Manage account controls and documentation for daily processes (Treasury's J-SOX narrative and documentation).
  • Provide high-level support and act as liaison for end users of banking systems, products and services.
  • Manage vendor relationships in support of TICF Treasury and Cash Management Operational needs. Meet regularly with current and new bank service providers to evaluate cash management and treasury services and solutions.
  • Oversee bank account analysis, banking products and SLAs.

40%: Treasury Projects & Systems

  • Lead enterprise Cash Management and Treasury projects and initiatives by proactively identifying and incorporating new products, structures and technologies that can improve funds availability, minimize operational risk and provide straight-through processing of commercial and financial transactions.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement business process improvements that can optimize TICF's Treasury Management System utilization that can support TICF and TIGCF Treasury and Cash Management business initiatives.
  • Represent TICF Treasury in all company projects where customer data, cash flows and treasury systems interfaces are involved, providing creative cash management and treasury solutions in support to various business groups.
  • Proactively review, evaluate and implement new business and system solutions that can increase accuracy and timeliness of daily cash forecast, transaction processing, bank interfaces, reconciliation and financialreporting.
  • Proactively engage with Banks and Software Providers to develop and build functionalities that support TICF Cash Management locally and globally.
  • Increase integration of new business lines for TICF and its and affiliates, both domestic and international with existing Treasury business and system solutions
  • Evaluate appropriateness of new products and services in the global market place for TICF and its businesses.

10%: Operational Risk and Compliance

  • Manage policies and procedures of Treasury Operations, Cash Management and Treasury Systems functions.
  • Manage documentation related to banking products, outsourced services to meet enterprise compliance standards.
  • Develop and execute associates' training strategies that increase business and systems knowledge among team members, while providing operational excellence and minimizing risk.
  • Coordinate the review and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and J- SOX documentation because of new business and systems process improvements, providing standardization and compliance.
  • Coordinates and execute Treasury's disaster, recovery, and business continuity planning to supportTreasury operations, systems availability and support.

Cash Management Specialist

Who You Are: Experience, Training & Education

  • 8+ years of experience in Treasury Operations, Liquidity management and/or Cash Management.
  • Progressive managerial role in financial services, corporate treasury, or relevant industry
  • In-depth understanding of J-SOX/SOX compliance and process controls
  • Broad knowledge of financial/capital markets products, including debt, derivatives, investments and foreign exchange
  • Banks and Vendors Relations experience
  • Debt, derivatives and hedge accounting experience
  • Financial and/or treasury system implementation experience
  • Project Management experience
  • BA/BS in Finance, Business or other related fields.
  • MBA, CFA a plus.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Intermediate/Advanced experience with Excel (macros / VBA), Word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience implementing and/or managing Treasury Management solutions (I.e. Integrity, Quantum, Kyriba, GTreasury, Misys, Calypso, etc.)
  • Experience with administration of banking work stations
  • Previous experience with J-SOX and/or SOX Compliance framework
