HDR is currently seeking a Transportation Project Manager with a strong municipal background to work as a key member with our diverse Roadway Design Team. This position provides an opportunity to be in a leadership position to grow our municipal program. The successful candidate will be client focused and have the ability to proactively manage and market local municipal transportation design projects. Responsibilities include marketing local municipal clients, overseeing client development plans, providing technical leadership, growing the municipal design team as well as leadership opportunities for right individual. Leadership and management of the entire design process from qualifications proposal through preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates for construction of moderate to large transportation projects. This will include the following duties: Coordination and of all disciplines (roadway, structural, traffic, public involvement and environmental) and sub-consultants involved in the project team, coordination with project owner, technical supervision of roadway design tasks and capability to perform roadway design, project schedule and budget management, and quality control management. Previous experience as a Transportation Project Manager for municipal transportation projects is strongly desired.
BS in Civil Engineering required.PE license required.10+ years of related experience including designing/managing roadway engineering projects and project engineering staff required.Familiarity with local municipalities’ personal and standards preferred.Willingness to participate and take leadership roles in professional/industry groups.Experience with marketing pursuits and presentations desired.Demonstrated leadership skills a must.Ability to lead a multi-discipline team and provide mentoring to younger staff.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
