As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for the trajectory construction and analysis for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of the systems through their entire lifetime from early conceptual design and configuration through flight operations and sustaining engineering. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


  • Model and optimize Earth-to-orbit and suborbital trajectories for a range of launch vehicle configurations
  • Work closely with systems and design engineers to develop integrated design solutions and rapidly assess conceptual designs
  • Support trade studies relating to subsystem design, architecture, and operation
  • Identify launch windows for beyond-LEO missions given myriad constraints
  • Documentation and maintenance of analysis inputs, models, and results in report and databooks


  • Minimum of B.S. degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in trajectory optimization and mission design
  • Experience using trajectory analysis tools such as POST, OTIS, STK Astrogator, or Copernicus.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum


  • Experience in launch, spacecraft and reentry systems
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with high-lift devices, flow control, stability or control design
  • Experience using OTIS and MATLAB/Simulink
  • Experience with post-flight data analysis
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
