Description The Trade Programs Manager is responsible for the oversight and execution of all Campari America's assigned Brand Ambassador programs & trade events. This position requires at least five years' work experience and at least two years working in an alcohol marketing position with a trade focus. Areas of focus include managing, developing and coaching a team of part- and full-time employees and building national trade relationships for activations, events and other types of activity. Campari Group is a major player in the global spirits industry, with a portfolio of over 50 premium and super premium brands, including Aperol, Appleton Estate, Campari, SKYY, Wild Turkey and Grand Marnier.

Essential Job Duties and Skills

  • Serve as single point of contact for Brand Ambassador programs and assigned trade programs. Work directly with Client departments of Trade Marketing & Sales as well as all Agency departments - Field Marketing, Account Services, Creative, Finance, HR, etc.
  • Recruit, manage, train and provide ongoing coaching to a team of full-time and part-time brand ambassadors.
  • Achieve all program goals and metrics (gross and net) as outlined. Leverage available channels to drive efficient yet effective reach.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of the program related to focus, performance and reach. Identify areas of opportunity, provide constructive feedback and make recommendations for improvement and growth.
  • Ensure all program deliverables/assignments are completed on time and accurately. Review all program paperwork including KPI trackers, budget trackers and other assignments prior to submittal. Effective time management is required.
  • Create detailed client-facing monthly reports that include both quantitative and qualitative information on all assigned programs. Analyze reports in order to effectively schedule upcoming consumer and trade engagement activity, activations and events.
  • Oversee select trade initiatives - including but not limited to non-profit event series, trade events, distillery events and master distiller market trips.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled employee meetings, review all required content and materials. Ensure ongoing development and training is occurring with employees.
  • Ensure program and employee compliance with all agency, client-based, State and Federal guidelines.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of all business-related expenses including submittal of invoices and receipts, monthly expense reporting and PO requests.
  • Experience managing multiple budgets and highly proficient with Excel and expense management tools.
  • Research and compile industry and trade trends.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and work independently.
  • Adaptable in fast-paced environments, while remaining proactive and efficient.
  • Present a positive image, embody leadership qualities and promote the agency and client with confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have flexibility to be available nights and weekends to support brand ambassador and trade programs.
  • Position Requirements This position requires at least five years' work experience and at least two years working in an alcohol marketing position with a trade focus.
  • Experience in sprits industry preferred.
  • Event execution experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the national beverage alcohol landscape, including local laws and statutes.
  • College degree required.
  • Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license at all times while employed with BFG, proof of insurance may be requested.
  • Overnight, out of-market travel may be required multiple times throughout the year.
  • Able to lift, move and carry 30-50 lbs.
  • Position contingent upon successful completion of background check.
