Oversee investigation, negotiation, and resolution, by settlement or denial, all first and third party automobile total loss claims.
*** Analyze policy forms and endorsements to determine applicable coverages, limits, deductibles, settlement calculations, and subrogation recovery opportunities.
*** Gather documentation to support claimed damages including estimates, proof of ownership or value, forms, reports, invoices, and similar.
*** Review damage documentation to determine loss amount.
*** Process releases, state forms, and all forms applicable to the handling of total loss claims.
*** Oversee all related automobile salvage issues.
*** Explore subrogation potential and arbitration opportunity.
*** Negotiate settlements based on documentation presented, vendor discussions, personal knowledge, experience, customer discussions, and policy language.
*** Establish and update reserves throughout life of claim, maintain suspense system, process expenses, prepares checks, and update Medical Cost Sharing data.
*** Ensure unit's compliance with state, company, and federal regulations.
*** Serve as subject matter expert for queries related to Commercial and Personal Auto policy language and endorsements.
