This position

The Tools Development Engineer plays an integral role in developing tools and reports to enable greater insights, scalability, and efficiency within the Global Customer Support organization. You will create applications and tools that unlock value in critical systems that support our Customers and front-line Experts. This role works closely with other team members and internal stakeholders including IT, EA, BI, and Security, as well as vendors partners to develop and maintain solutions throughout the software development lifecycle.

This position reports to the Sr. Director, Supportability & Tools.

Responsibilities

  • Work with peers and management to understand technical requirements, priorities and processes
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to design, build, test, implement, and maintain solutions that leverage integration of home-grown, open source and 3rd party solutions
  • Active interest in the design and strategies of Next Gen API, Tools, and Automation Technologies
  • Analyze and Report on the efficacy and performance of multiple toolsets used across the Customer Support organization
  • Partner with IT and BI teams to extract and deliver relevant data to department leadership

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • Familiar with SQL Syntax, C#, Java or other Object-Oriented Programming Language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in a Customer Support, Engineering, or Business Intelligence role at a SaaS company
  • Previous experience with Agile and TDD Development cycles
  • Understanding of Business Intelligence integrations ETL patterns
  • Familiarity with Web and SaaS applications (AWS, Salesforce, etc)
  • Experience with modern development tools such as Confluence and Jira
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills
