Job Description

  • Strategic planning
    • Play critical role in IoT product and service roadmap development
    • Lead product and service launch and LCM strategy development for target market segments to increase penetration/grow share/increase brand recognition/etc.
    • Contribute to lead sales strategy development
    • Link business unit strategies to corporate to-market strategies
    • Help facilitate annual to-market strategic planning with internal teams
    • Build data-based business cases for change and ensure information is widely consumable
  • Budget
    • Develop and maintain annual marketing budget in support of to-market initiatives
  • Measure effectiveness of Iot go-to-market strategies and tactics
    • Establish metrics, measure effectiveness, and report on investments in all marketing channels 
  • Coordination
    • assist product owners in product road map and value proposition development so communication plans can be developed to meet customer requirements
    • influence & negotiate with key stakeholders
    • leading tactical implementation against to-market strategies
    • coordinate with internal and external communication groups to bring message to target market  
    • Build relationships, gather consensus and drive groups to consensus and action 
    • Partner with executive leaders to interpret high-level IoT strategy direction into action
    • Leverage internal partners in Research, Data-Analytics, Finance, marketing categories and throughout the business to ensure strategies are well-informed with context on the business, customer and industry
    • Curate content and develop presentations (independently and/or in partnership with business leader) to communicate with internal and external audiences
    • Facilitate brainstorming or discussion sessions with leaders to identify themes, generate new ideas and create prioritization
    • Provide recommendations for strategy evolution based on insights, industry and competitive context, macro trends, and knowledge of the business).
    • Elicit, define, document, analyze, and communicate the requirements of any given to-market project to ensure on-time and quality delivery; including the establishment of clear project deliverables, roles, and responsibilities.  
    • Enable the Sales Process via training and process development
    • Communicate and execute tasks effectively in partnership with a diverse group of both business and technical stakeholders. 
    • Create formal networks and drive collaboration with all functional stakeholders to successfully achieve project objectives
  • Technical support
    • market research technique knowledge and analysis capabilities to drive strategic and tactical go-to market decision making

    • target market reach expertise via multiple communication vehicles (digital, analog, associations, PR, academic, etc.)
    • High-level project management - up to 25% of total time.

    • Strong ability to write and edit copy as well as summarize complex ideas in internal narrative formats. 
  • Develop a best-of-class customer experience roadmap for data-analytic services incorporating primary and secondary research
  • Define  key strategies, processes, personnel and technology support required to create the customer experience vision, and execute against the vision in conjunction with cross-functional groups and external suppliers
  • Manage team(s) that implement and perform the customer experience support processes


  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of service marketing experience or equivalent.
  • Focus on IoT service industry with the ability to partner and coordinate with technology resources. 
  • Significant experience in mid to large-scale project management; including management of a diverse set of projects ranging in scope, size, and complexity. 
  • Solid business sense, decision-making abilities 
  • Proven ability to create and motivate global cross-functional teams. 
  • Proficiency in multiple business and graphic software applications 
  • Strong command of interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation); excellent listening skills, and ability to operate across various levels of the organization to drive decision making. 
  • Proven ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. 
  • Experience with global/international projects a plus
