sPower is an established and rapidly growing renewable energy company headquartered in Salt Lake City, with additional offices in San Francisco, Long Beach, and New York. sPower seeks an experienced Title Curative Analyst with at least 5-7 years’ experience in title and real estate. The Title Curative Analyst will perform title curative work and prepare various types of reports to assist in mitigating risks associated with land acquisition and renewable project development.

• Proven title search, title curative, and problem-solving skills including recognizing title-related issues that could be problematic to prospective solar and wind projects. • Ability to communicate efficiently in verbal and written correspondence. • Excellent organizational, communication, decision making, problem-solving, analytical and time management skills. • Demonstrated ability to produce assigned deliverables within specified timelines. • Able to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment. • Strong initiative, able to work autonomously to complete tasks but equally able to enlist the support of cross-functional team members and provide regular status reports to supervisor. • Passion for the renewable energy industry.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
The Title Curative Analyst will work alongside Project Managers and Real Estate Counsel and will be responsible for evaluating and assisting in land and land right acquisition (fee, lease, easement), obtaining title insurance, curing title defects, assisting in real estate document preparation for project development and financing, and helping mitigate risks in land acquisition for prospective solar and wind projects. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Reviewing title searches, reports and commitments to identify and validate conditions of title and insurability by considering the effect deeds, deeds of trust, mechanics liens, tax liens, judgments, assessments, probates and other matters of record. • Complete fatal flaw analysis on potential property acquisitions and prepare title curative action plans to identify and resolve title curative issues for potential land acquisitions. • Review base map and ALTA surveys prepared on properties. • Communicate with title companies, real estate brokers, surveyors, government entities, and other team members to mitigate risks and work toward closing land acquisitions and project finance. • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisor to initiate title-curative related tasks. • Research and prepare mineral and water right reports and create mineral and water right analyses. • 5-7+ years’ professional experience in title and real estate. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Earth. • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
