Position Description
The Testing Lead is responsible for working with internal team members to define and document quality policy, processes and procedures for complex Data Warehousing projects. The Testing Lead determines the test strategy and oversees all testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, as well as post-production maintenance releases and regression testing. The Testing Lead is responsible for the performance, load and stress testing strategy, implementation and execution. Coordinate the documentation of test execution results and report quality metrics to internal and external management. Establish and maintain bidirectional requirements traceability to test cases. Prepare and present deliverables to support customer implementations as well as Sales opportunities. Reports to Solutions Delivery Lead.

Position responsibilities:
Lead a Quality team for a new Enterprise Data warehouse solution.Responsible for the test strategy, as well as creating and executing end-to-end test cases for our Enterprise Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions in an iterative environment.


  • Data reconciliation testing
  • Verify Transformations according to business rules
  • Checking against legacy warehouse
  • Integrate with a development team working in an iterative environment
  • Estimate workload for tasks as part of the Release and Sprint Planning
  • Indicate performed and upcoming activities as well as known impediment/issues
  • Express issues in a clear, consistent and understandable manner (written, verbal)
  • Take ownership of all assigned tasks and project related assignments
  • Ensure direct communication over email/ticketing chain to ensure timely resolution of identified issues
  • Update, on regular basis, collaboration suites used to share progress/status on the project (Rally, Sharepoint)
  • Effectively advocate and disseminate Quality Assurance best practices in the team
  • Share enthusiasm about QA Testing methods, toolsets and test automation
  • Mentor less seasoned Quality Assurance Analysts through cross training and technical expertise
  • Continuously identify areas of progress (methods, toolset) for his scope

Tools knowledge:

  • In depth SQL querying knowledge (expert level)
  • One general-purpose programming/scriptinglanguage
  • Data Warehousing (Informatica, Oracle, Exadata)
    Business Intelligence platform (Cognos, Tableau)
  • CA Rally or equivalent
  • Configuration management (CVS, SVN, ClearCase or equivalent)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Must be able to work on site 5 days a week in Jefferson City, MO
  • 7+ years in testing and software quality assurance
  • Previous experience as a testing lead or manager
  • Prior experience as a quality lead on large projects
  • Strong SQL or DW Testing experience
  • Proven experience managing quality assurance activities for large complex development projects
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem ­solving and analytic skills strong writing and documentation skills

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Medicaid experience highly desired
  • Healthcare experience
  • Prior state or federal government experience
