Develop and troubleshoot software and hardware elements of production test equipment to be used on electronic control assemblies and motor/blower assemblies.
Develop and troubleshoot software and hardware elements of laboratory and reliability test equipment to be used in the development of electronic control assemblies and motor/blower assemblies.
Lead efforts to develop and work with equipment vendors to provide complete production test and laboratory test systems.
Provide on going support for existing production test equipment for electronics and motors/blowers; including, but not limited to continuous updates of software and computer equipment to keep current with technology trends and maintain compliance with Regal IT security policies.
Collaborate with other engineers to define and implement continuous improvement in our product test strategies and methods.
Develop software and analytics for capturing, transmitting and evaluating data from various production and laboratory test equipment.
Evaluate firmware/software code developed by other engineers.
Technical Bachelor's degree, Engineering Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with a strong mechanical aptitude preferred
3+ experienceworking with various forms of electric motor and electronics test equipment; including, but not limited to, incircuit test, dynometers/Magtrols, power analyzers, and AC and DC hipot.
Lesser degree may be acceptable if accompanied by significant, applicable work experience.
Knowledgeable in the analysis of electronic circuits, switching power supplies, and electric motors.
Able to use oscilloscopes and digital multimeters.
Able to understand electrical schematic, mechanical drawings, and electronics schematics.
Ability to understand and write code in C, LabView, Visual Basic, VB.net, BASIC, or other relevant high level programming language.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent computer skills; in
Working knowledge of Altium, pSpice, or other schematic capture software. Knowledge of Solidworks.
Understand and/or able to speak Spanish.
Experience specifying, developing, or building custom test equipment for electronic circuits and/or electric motors.
Experience evaluating and testing source code written by others including Microsoft O365 suite of tools.
Good communication skills.
