What do you get to do in this position?


We are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Assistant/Lab Coordinator to work on our state of the art IoT solution set for applications such as fuel and lubrication products distribution, propane tank service, and chemical management.  This person will join our engineering team to help develop, test, and validate hardware/software/firmware for a wide variety of wireless tank level monitoring systems.  The Engineering Assistant/Lab Coordinator will also work with our Web Data Center development team to validate and test integration of the monitoring products into our overall solution offerings.  We offer a wide array of other products and are always designing new solutions.

The general requirements of this position include:

  • Engineering assistance: testing, rework, prototyping
  • Collecting, organizing, logging, and presenting test results/data
  • Organization and documentation of lab activities
  • Coordinating building of outsourced engineering builds
  • Conducting and documenting validation tests processes
  • Management of lab equipment and supplies/materials
  • Operation and maintenance of a 3D printer
  • Periodic production line troubleshooting
  • Occasional field testing/support

 You must have at least 2 years of experience with:

  • Electronic test equipment: oscilloscopes, meters, signal generators, load testers, RF analyzers
  • Soldering and rework: through hole and fine pitch SMT
  • Temperature chambers
  • Documentation/Presentation

 We prefer additional experience with:

  • Basic circuit debug knowledge
  • Temperature/Environmental testing
  • Industrial sensors
  • RF and Radio networks
  • Embedded modems
  • SMT reflow processes
  • Validation testing
  • 3D Printing
  • CAD tools
  • Excel
  • Any scripting or programming proficiency
  • Basic familiarity with micro-processors and using test software on a PC
