Comtech PST is growing and needs an experienced Test Engineer to join our Melville, New York team! We are looking for a motivated and responsible team player with strong leadership and excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to drive new concepts and techniques for improving producibility, solving problems, and reaching the next level. This exciting role offers an opportunity to work with and learn from some of the top industry leading professionals. He or she will serve as liaison between the creative engineering professionals and the functional manufacturing organizations. The candidate we are looking for will perform moderately complex assignments of the Engineering Test Function for standard and/or custom devices. We need someone who enjoys working in an innovative, forward thinking environment! Here are some of the opportunities you can expect as part of our team:

• Designs and de develops test procedures under limited supervision

• Assists in the evaluation to the test equipment required to perform quality checks

• Prepares recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used form the product design phase through to initial production

• May construct or assist in the construction/design of test fixtures

• May provide training in new procedures to production test staff

• Performs other similar related tasks as assigned

• Maintains a positive work environment by professional and courteous conduct and communications with others, including supervisors, co-workers, clients, and vendors

• May provide technical assistance to other Test Engineers/Techs

EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent. Knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) programs preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5-10 years experience in a related position required

• Teaming with others in meaningful cost studies, equipment recommendations and make/buy decisions

• Create positive impacts to the organization by using problem solving skills to review in process documentation for errors and inconsistency improving efficiency and output

• Advance your skills as you work with other engineering professionals

• Participate and learn in remarkable brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to increase productivity and decrease cost
