Position Description:

PSS, Inc. is actively seeking a Test Engineer who will be expected to be responsible for analyzing system requirements and concepts of operation documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions, developing evaluation and test plans and procedures, preparing for and conducting the data collection and analysis, and report status and results. The incumbent will also support the development of Government test and evaluation documentation, e.g., Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, or T&E Reports. He/she will work with other test organizations to support T&E program integration. The incumbent will also be expected to provide specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance areas.

 

Clearance Requirements:

TS/SCI or TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance (Applicants selected will be subject to a government securityinvestigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Accordingly, US Citizenship is required.)

 

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years’ systems and software testing experience with a high school/GED diploma, or an Associate of Arts degree with 8+ years’ experience, or 6+ years’ experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years’ experience with a Master’s degree, or 2+ years’ experience with a PhD degree
  • Experience following established test engineering processes and checklists
  • Experience researching and evaluating new test engineering concepts and processes to improve performance
  • Ability to understand and apply more advanced test engineering concepts and processes to daily activities
  • Experience supporting and assisting more junior level test engineers, technicians and specialists in their activities
  • Experience working individually, actively participating on integrated teams, and leading multiple tasks, projects or teams
  • Experience functioning with guidance and direction from more senior level technicians, specialists, and managers only when dealing with new, uncertain situations
  • Experience performing tasks of lower level test engineers, specialists, and/or managers
  • Experience providing guidance and direction to lower level test engineers, technicians, specialists, and managers
  • Experience analyzing cross-functional problem sets, identifying root causes and resolving issues
  • Experience overseeing and monitoring performance, and when required, taking steps to resolve issues
  • Experience directing multiple teams through to project completion

  • Performing all tasks of lower level test engineers, technicians or specialists
  • Providing guidance to lower level test engineers and specialists
  • Analyzing cross-functional problem sets, identifying root causes and resolving issues
  • Overseeing and monitoring performance, and when required, taking steps to resolve issues
  • Directing multiple teams through to project completion
