Test and EvaluationEngineer, Senior

Key Role:

Support High Energy Laser (HEL) technology transition projects. Provide support for Navy Surface Fleet directed energy clients. Provide the T&E functional capability across multiple HEL projects. Assist with test plan development and conduct testing, data acquisition and reduction, and reporting of test results. Leverage expertise with laser systems testing, including optical systems, beam control, and targeting and tracking. Apply expertise with data acquisition during laser testing and perform operational testing, OPTEVFOR, AFOTEC, and DOT&E. This position is located in Oxnard, CA.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with test planning, scheduling, execution, and reporting of test events

-Experience with developing technical T&E documentation for complex electrical combat weapon systems

-Experience with supporting complex engineering T&E projects for fleet surface vessels

-Experience with providing engineering inputs to a test team on test schedule and test resources to accomplish SSDS-centric test events, including fleet firings and Combat System Ship Qualification Trials (CSSQT)

-Experience with overseeing T&E engineering tasking related to shipboard sensor processing, communications, guidance, and control

-Experience with technical T&E briefs at the captain level

-Knowledge of the ship combat systems, ship radar systems, missile systems, ships electro-optical sensors, electro-mechanical and command and control interfaces, and integrated defense systems of SSDS aboard CVN and L Class ships

-Secret clearance

-MA or MSdegree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Business
