Territory National Sales Manager Tripp Lite is seeking an experienced sales management professional to lead a 6-person National Territory Sales team to close deals at the end-user level with fulfillment through the IT channel (national distributors, national solution providers, other VAR accounts, etc.). Additional focus is on increasing sales in channel accounts. The Territory National Sales Manager may based in Chicago at the HQ or other large metropolitan area on either the east or west coast. Preferred locations: Denver, Atlanta, Dallas or Raleigh. Responsibilities

  • Drive the team toward strategic account engagement to maximize sales performance in the data center, education, hospitality, retail and healthcare segments
  • Lead team members with sales and marketing strategies, promoting complete Tripp Lite solutions when applicable
  • Manage pipeline to create new opportunities within the territory
  • Create a winning environment where the team is accountable for activity within the territory
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing contacts while onboarding and building new relationships
  • Use existing relationships within the territory to assist Territory Channel Managers in identifying new business opportunities with large accounts and high-profile organizations
  • Provide leadership to the team to service existing accounts, while closing new business through self-developed opportunity pipeline
  • Manage the metrics and work to exceed quarterly quotas in the region
  • Assist Territory Channel Managers in closing deals when necessary

Required Education and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a sales team
  • Active contacts within the territory to help drive activity and influence sales
  • Ability to travel within the territory 35-50%
  • Must have a valid driver's license & personal vehicle

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling for an IT manufacturer, reseller or distributor
  • PC/IT hardware industry background; experience selling into computer data centers
  • Success utilizing a consultative selling approach
  • Proficiency using Salesforce.com
