What you'll be doing:

You'll be responsible for autonomously promoting Tandem Diabetes insulin pumps and services within the Rockville territory in partnership with a Clinical Diabetes Sales Specialist. Your goal will be to ensure your territory is meeting and exceeding company sales goals. You'll lead a strategic business plan, identify potential customers and establish and develop business relationships with both providers and patients. You'll be entrepreneurial. You'll make an impact. You'll change lives. The work and dedication that goes into your strategy will ultimately determine your reward. What you need for this position:

  • BS/BA from a four-year college or university plus 3 years of related industry sales experience; preferably in one or more of the following areas: diabetes, endocrinology, insulin infusion pumps, and managed care. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to travel at least 80% in your assigned territory; must maintain a valid driver's license and required auto insurance as well as good driving record, per company policy.
  • Motivation and drive to meet and even exceed sales goals.
  • Ability to relate effectively with patients, referral sources and health care professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers to resolve issues and answer questions according to company protocols and requirements.
  • Ability to assert own ideas and persuade others through effectively consolidating, evaluating, and presenting relevant information.
  • Skilled at promoting team cooperation and commitment to team success.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing market and see change as an opportunity to improve business performance and will campaign for it when necessary.
