This position provides technical support to the employees of Cross Country Healthcare, Inc. in the areas of all core telephony services, telephony applications, voicemail, Telco vendor management and troubling resolution of each the above areas.

  • Deploy and maintain all enterprise telecommunications systems
  • Analyzes telecommunication functions of the organization and makes recommendations
  • Works tickets through our ticketing system in a prompt fashion and communicates action during each step of affected parties
  • Installs, moves, and modifies telecommunications and related equipment according to job order specifications, standards, and procedures
  • Diagnoses and repairs equipment as assigned from system level to bench or component replacement
  • Performs installation and testing of new products individually or as part of a team. Leads installations and upgrades of telecommunications systems
  • Develops documentation to support current and to test planned equipment configurations
  • Provides on-the-job training to user or other technical personnel
  • Establishes time and cost estimates. Maintains accurate records of staff hours and materials used
  • Performs daily maintenance checks and insures proper escalation and resolution to challenges found
  • Provide coordination between Telecommunications, other IT teams and customer
  • Ongoing daily support of one off voice/data activities
  • As required by changing business needs, complete additional responsibilities as assigned
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from accredited university or experience in related field preferred
  • IT related certifications a plus
  • 2 years’ experience in architecting, deploying and supporting Avaya PBX’s
  • Prior experience with telephone switch programming on an Avaya platform
  • Experience with the following Avaya products:
    • Aura Communications Manager 6.X or 7.x
    • Avaya IPOffice
    • Avaya Application Enablement Service (AES)
    • Avaya System Manager 6.X or 7.x
    • Avaya Session Manager 6.X or 7.x
    • AVST for voicemail services
    • Taske for agent skill level management
  • Experience with TASKE and eCAS Call Reporting
  • Prior experience with VOIP, IP networking and PBX systems
  • Prior experience with large to very large enterprise environments that include multiple site locations
  • Knowledge of CO/ISDN PRI/H.3232 and SIP trunking
  • Experience with Witness (WFO) call recording
  • Call Center ACD with EAS design, setup, implementation/maintenance and support for skills, agents VDN’s and Vectors
  • Prior utilization of G650 and G450 Media-Gateways
