Required Skills

• Create the vision and strategy for DevOps within the One Team Connections and Global Referrals technology teams. This encompasses infrastructurearchitecture, automation, configuration management, 24/7 monitoring, security and internal documentation.
• Responsible for the development, documentation and roll-out of DevOps & security processes and procedures across the Verity organization.
• Oversee delivery of commitments and DevOps support and service level agreements to internal bank teams and organizations.
• Actively participate in the Scrum process (standups, sprint planning, grooming, etc).
• Provide professional evaluations and suggestions on new technologies for infrastructure management and security as required and applicable. This includes advising on operational system integrations across the enterprise.
• Responsible for interfacing with external suppliers/partners for security assessments, certifications, etc, and for engaging internal staff cross-departmentally to support these.
• Manage monitoring and the integrity of production, pre-production, and back office technical infrastructure & services.
• Regularly partner and consult with other leaders across the business on new or modified technology processes that impact the customer experience.
• Provide technical guidance, direction, coaching and mentoring to team members as required
• Set priorities & performance expectations to meet the bank’s infrastructure and product goals.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices as tied to all areas of DevOps oversight and security.
• Contribute to the team deliverables as needed (e.g. troubleshooting, scripting,

• Proficient in how to deploy to and debug environments (Dev, Test, Prod).
• Responsible for the design, build and deployment of effective User Interfaces solutions
• Experience with Relational Databases, Stored Procedures, and general ETL concepts
• Ability to perform research and interviews to elaborate on business requirements and then translate into specifications for technical deliverables
• Analyze, facilitate, model, and organize information in order to reconcile conflicts, elicit requirements and distinguish solution ideas from business needs
• Strong communication skills, including prioritizing, problem solving and interpersonal relationship building.

• Reach out to clients and project leaders in the course of work in order to identify and evaluate user and business requirements

• BS or degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in a leadership role, with successful results.
• 8+ years in DevOps or a similar role.
• 3+ years managing larger-scale, distributed application infrastructure.
• Ability to define technical processes and drive improvements to existing processes
• Strong knowledge of redundant/fault-tolerant deployment architectures.
• High proficiency in setting up and maintaining robust monitoring, alerting and configuration management systems.
• Fluency in use of scripting languages(i.e. perl, python, bash, etc) to develop tools & automation.
• Experience with majority of the following or similar technologies: MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Oracle, DataStage, AutoSys, Appian, Spring, Hbernate, JBOSSS, Websphere, Cloud Technologies, etc…
• Proven ability to partner with internal stakeholders and deliver on internal and external customer obligations.
• Strong troubleshooting/analytical skills.
• High level of curiosity and critical thinking.
• Familiarity with current security best practices.
• Ability to remain calm & lead during high-impact incidents (& prior experience doing so).
