What We Need:


We're hiring a Technical author to prepare guidance manuals, journal articles, and other helping files to speak complicated and technical information in an easy to read format. On this position, you'll be responsible for writing, enhancing, publishing and preserving technical publications, walkthroughs, release notes and carrier files for the SICOM product lines. So one can absolutely communicate the usage of merchandise, you will additionally generate illustrations or coordinate illustration era with assisting departments. Additionally, you may be chargeable for developing newsletters, table degree commands, guide know-how base solutions, and schooling aids.

What You’ll Do:


  • Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation
  • Study product samples and talk with product designers and developers
  • Work with technical staff to make products easier to use and thus need fewer instructions
  • Organize and write supporting documents for products
  • Use photographs, drawings, diagrams, animation, and charts to increase the users’ understanding
  • Select appropriate medium for message or audience, such as manuals or online videos
  • Standardize content across platforms and media
  • Gather usability feedback from customers, developers, and technical support staff
  • Revise documents as new issues and features arise
  • Track technical content changes and source data using various database and version control applications

What You’ll Need:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Strong communication skills with the proven ability to translate technical information into an easy to follow document for non-technical consumers
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and a familiarity with XML authoring schemas, Text/XML content editors, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and Git distributed version control system
  • Strong computer skills, and experience working in a Linux environment
