Short Description


The Technical Support Senior Engineer is an individual contributor who provides expert post-sales support of software and/or hardware systems, sub-systems and/or applications for customers or field personnel utilizing telephone and remote diagnostic capabilities. Acts as the SME for complex issues and is the internal representative in critical escalations. Proactively reviews customer networks and determines where there may be issues by using multiple combined SW / HW components or cross multiple platforms using multiple protocols. Works with management and teams to implement. Displays expertise in industry protocols, solutions and customer situational management. Independently works on problems of diverse scope. May include lab management, mentoring lower level engineers, project management. This individual must have Aura Red Stack experience help design, implement, and customize Avaya phone systems, change control windows, patches, etc.

Principal Responsibilities:

· Tier 3 Support (SME) for the following Unified Communications Cloud related areas:

o Avaya Aura 7.0+

o Avaya Session Manager

o Avaya Communication Manager

o Avaya System Manager

o Breeze

o Avaya Media Server

o Avaya Multimedia Messaging

o Avaya Session Border Controller

o Equinox Management Server

o Equinox Media Server

o SIP protocols


· 1-2 years of experience with at least 3 of the solution products listed

· 3+ years of experience with Cloud Service delivery

· 3+ years of experience with Avaya Aura technology

· Strong knowledge/experience with SIP protocols

· Avaya Technical Certifications with the solution products

Successful candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government security clearance


5 - 6 years of experience and a Bachelor degree or equivalent, or 4 years of experience and a Master degree or equivalent
