As a Technical Support Engineer at Nexmo, you will provide first-class technical support to our rapidly growing strategic customer base, who are integrating our real-time communication APIs and SDKs.

We challenge our Support Engineers to provide a customer experience that leaves our users impressed, loyal and true advocates of our company!

What You're Great At

  • Thoroughly understanding multimedia technologies and protocols such as SIP, WebRTC
  • Investigating, troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to IP based network technologies
  • Communicating effectively (both verbal and written) with our customers and internal stakeholders
  • Problem solving, having a natural curiosity and demonstrating the ability to learn rapidly
  • Communicating well with different audiences (developers, technical and non-technical users)

What You're Good At

  • Other programming languages: PHP, Python, Ruby, Node
  • JavaScript/web development
  • Linux/Unix operating systems

What You Must Have Experience In

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 2+ years as a Developer Support Engineer or a Technical Support Engineer in either the telecommunications or technology sectors
  • 2+ years of API or SDK implementation and/or integration
  • JavaScript, iOS or Android support experience

Qualities About You That Might Make our Decision Easier

  • Experience with IP-based real-time communications (VoIP, WebRTC, Websockets)
  • JavaScript, iOS or Android development experience
