This Technical Support Engineer II position will assist with the service, development and implementation of our new immunoassay platform.
Develop early expertise on new platform development instruments by installing, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on internal manufacturing prototype population. Support instruments used for assay verification and prioritize service tasks appropriately. Build hardware and software knowledge of development system to mentor others as project progresses. Develop technical service procedures. Collaborate with cross functional new platform team members to ensure robust and serviceable design. Trend, analyze and interpret instrument data. Participate on project team responsible for improving instrument reliability by recommending changes. Ensure accuracy/traceability of all records to comply with GMP, ISO, FDA and company policies regarding compliance. Work with team members to develop team goals and plans, resolve problems and achieve goals while showing respect for all team members.
3+ years related instrument experience preferably in the medical diagnostic field or 6+ years related electro-mechanicalexperience. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in electronics, bio-medical engineering, chemistry, medical technology, or equivalent work experience. Excellent troubleshooting skills and hands on service repair experience. Ability to diagnose problems with complex hardware modules. Familiar with DBS problem solving tools and daily management expectations. Understands complex technical documentation and effectively communicates with internal team members. Ability to travel as required, 25% or less.
