Position: Technical Specialist 4/TS4
Location: Columbus, OH 43215

Short description on what they will be working on, objectives, and tasks/deliverables
? Provide Infrastructure Oversight of numerous Service Providers
? Ensure that SLA?s and other performance metrics are met by our service providers
? Help monitor and troubleshoot the technical performance of the ERP systems
? Drive collaboration with our Managed Services Providers (MSP), key internal IT organizations, and other critical vendor partners for key technology projects and day-to-day operations support.
? Lead identification, triage, troubleshooting and reporting of production issues and problems in the ERP infrastructure
? Help develop solution architectures, technical work plans and estimates for planned projects (e.g. upgrades, expansion, new capability releases, etc.)
? Monitor and report on infrastructure health and performance
? Participate in key operations leadership meetings representing infrastructure operations
? Act as the key management liaison to the State's Security team
? Lead and coordinate efforts for infrastructure-related SOC1audit efforts
? Ensure maintenance schedules are rigorously adhered to
? Participate in new project acceptance and quality assurance reviews
? Develop new processes and procedures as necessary
? Consult on technical aspects of break/fix approaches, planned enhancements, MSP contract change requests, and architecture strategies and approaches necessary for driving ongoing performance management and security compliance
? Bring research and recommendations to the Operations team to continually improve the current systems operating environment
? During the interview process, the resource consultant must demonstrate competence/experience in their specific area(s) of project assignment.
? The resource's experience must also be documented for review and verification.
Skills and Abilities:
? Must have strong communication and collaboration skills and experience.
? Must have excellent oral and written skills, and possess strong meeting and work session facilitation skills.
? Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, the ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines.
? Must have excellent organizational skills, proven analytical, planning, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
? Must be knowledgeable in the English language/speak clearly and understandably use the English language.
? Operations management in a geographically dispersed, high availability, virtualized system environment
? Large/complex organization project deployments
? Outsourcing ? preferably onshore ? in a leadership role
? ERP systems, preferably PeopleSoft/Oracle
? Cloud-based provider management
? Demonstrable understanding of architectural principles and best practices for infrastructure operations
? Defining and tracking key performance metrics
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Oracle Engineered Systems hardware platform
?Experience with interface batch architectures and third-party "bolt on" applications that commonly integrate with PeopleSoft applications systems (e.g.
? EDI, FTP, UC4, Tumbleweed, etc.)
? Ability to interface and resolve issues across all levels of an organization
? Proficient in ITIL, SDLC, and Quality Assurance processes
? Developing comprehensive technical strategy deliverables for both application and infrastructure environments
? Developing technical documentation for applications and systems
?4-year college degree or equivalent technical study
? Certifications in ITIL, Oracle Technologies, Security or other relevant advanced degrees
