Job Description

G2 Web Services is seeking an energetic Technical Program Manager to join its engineering team. Successful candidates will have proven experience orchestrating the end-to-end software delivery cycle (from concept through delivery). They will leverage their strong technical, interpersonal, and communication skills, to coordinate activities between multiple teams, and drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Product Owners and development teams on user story development, and refinement with an emphasis on translation of business centric requirements into units of work for development that are actionable, and testable.
  • Serve as a bridge between the technical and business oriented elements of the team, with a goal of facilitating value creation.
  • Manage large-scale technical program delivery across multiple engineering teams and act as the main channel of communication for key formal discussions and decisions that involve engineering and product leaders.
  • Identifies potential risks across a broad number of individual projects within a program and establishes communications and mitigations to address them

  • Work with senior program managers to collect and analyze project metrics including team velocity, defect rates, and sprint costs.
  • Own the end-to-end life-cycle of a project, from inception to launch
  • Work with engineering management to define, collect and analyze relevant development team metrics, with an eye toward continuous improvement
  • Evangelize the sprit of agile development, without being married to any one process or technique
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies for multiple development teams (2-3)
  • Work to actively remove impediments raised by development teams
  • Help a great team build great software

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of project management experience preferably working with agile software development teams
  • Experience with decomposing business requirements into actionable user stories that are consumable by development teams.
  • Previous experience working on SAAS platforms is a plus
  • Software development experience is a big plus
  • Self-motivated, proactive and proven ability to adapt well and work with different teams within the organization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with technical and non‐technical team members.
  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
