Technical Product Marketing Manager

As the Senior Technical Product Marketing Manager, you will be the public evangelist for SignalFx’s technology that uniquely delivers Monitoring & Operational Intelligence for the Cloud. You will be responsible for developing positioning and content, training our direct sales and partner sales teams, and being a visible evangelist for our technology and solutions. You will run product launches and support our communication campaigns to our hands-on users. Additionally, you’ll work with our product and engineering teams to develop our product strategy and communications. You will join a growing Marketing team with the mission to help our customers and prospects to understand our technical differentiation while helping make the job of our sales team easier. This role requires both technical knowledge and excellent written and verbal communication skills. 


    • Develop our product level positioning
    • Create and update our product pitches/sales presentations, sales tools, and collateral
    • Run and drive our cross-company product launches
    • Create joint-value propositions with our technology partners
    • Speak at conferences, executive briefings, and webcasts on monitoring and operational Intelligence for the cloud
    • Produce in-depth content for how our technology has solved specific use-cases for key customers and for specific technologies
    • Coordinate competitive intelligence and deliver insight and tools to both product management and sales
    • Provide input to our product and engineering teams on both market and customer specific requirements, while also owning the communication of roadmap information within the marketing team

Required Skills & Experience

    • 7+ years experience in a technical product marketing, product evangelist or sales engineer roles
    • Computer Science or Engineering background
    • Have promoted or sold IT/DevOps focused technical products – with Monitoring experience a strong bonus
    • Experience in launching SaaS products and capabilities
    • Excellent written and presentation skills, and have been seen as a strong evangelist for previous employers
    • Experience in presenting at conferences
    • Worked with Sales Engineering and Product management to develop presentations and demos
