Infoscitex, a DCS company, is seeking an Open Source (OSINT) Analyst/Linguist with proficiency in Farsi language to support mission critical work at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
In this role, you would collect, process, and exploit open source information to draft and disseminate technical, engineering, and scientific reports primarily derived from foreign language open source information. You will apply extensive understanding of technical, engineering, and scientific concepts in addition to sociocultural context to support translations.
You could also expect to:
Translate, transcribe, and interpret a wide variety of complex texts containing idiomatic, scientific, and colloquial writing; and capture subtleties in nuance, tone, and complex technical discussion.
Produce translated text identifying and summarizing relevant factual information and abstract concepts while recognizing complex expressions and specialized technical terminology.
Work within an integrated intelligence production team.
Prepare and present briefings as required.
Some short term intermittent travel may be required.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: current TS/SCI.
At least a HS Diploma, or equivalent, with at least 13 years of relevant experience. There are multiple levels associated with this opportunity category. Candidates with a degree and various experience levels mayl be considered for alternative classification.
High level of language proficiency - Listening/Reading 2/2 or better (ILR/DLPT) in Persian Farsi.
Experience conducting research, analysis, and reporting.
Experience with handling classified material and appropriate classified material marking protocols.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to intermittently travel for short duration, if needed.
Operational experience in exploitation or analysis of OSINT working with or for NASIC or another National Intelligence Agency is also highly desired.
