You will have responsibility to design and develop server side systems for the Wealth Management team


  • Design and develop server side systems
  • Provide coding direction to less experienced staff
  • Develop complex original code
  • Recommend technologies and methods to integrate Web systems with existing systems
  • Conduct evaluations of new products and vendor proposals
  • Develop documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides
  • Manage detailed design phases for large projects identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues and ensuring solution meets sponsor needs and PLC deliverables
  • Determine best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives.
  • Develop measures and monitors ongoing effectiveness of IT services for assigned business lines
  • Provide input and coordinate with DBA to create new and modify existing database structures
  • Manage all aspects of testing and verification ensuring all tasks are performed for all interfaces
  • Manage all aspects of implementation planning & coordination
  • Perform database/ disaster recovery planning for multiple systems
  • Perform performance tuning to improve performance across multiple systems
  • Develop criteria for and participates in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors and software as well as due diligence exercises


  • 8+ years Java/J2EE development
  • 5+ years hands-on experience developing scalable, high-performance solutions Experience using SOA technologies such as SOAP, WSDL, XML Schemas
  • Work experience with mid-tier server side technologies and experienced in multi-tier, component-based architecture and design
  • Hands on experience with WebSphere, and other Application Servers
  • Experience developing new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides
  • Good knowledge of performance optimization
  • Knowledge of Scheduling and configuration management of the messaging systems
  • Knowledge of Database and Storage replication concepts
  • IT Standards, Methodologies, CMM & audit requirements
  • Middleware technologies (ex. MQSeries/Websphere, WXF, XML, .NET)
