The Proposal Technical Editor is responsible for editing and writing technical documentation for high-quality business proposals. The incumbent will be required to manage and track the implementation and maintenance of proposal documentation via Qvidian/Excel and SharePoint. Experience in electric, gas and water is essential as you will be required to interview SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) and other resources. Telecommunication experience is also useful.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Undergraduatedegree from a four-year college required.
Entry-level Project Management Project/Proposal management skills, including strong organizational and time management skills and be capable of working independently in a fast paced deadline driven environment.
Proven record of creating and maintaining documentation control systems as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have excellent research skills, must be able to organize ideas, and must be able to translate technical terms into text that can be understood at all levels.
Superior attention to detail. Be comfortable with face-to-face and phone conversations with a client Gain in depth knowledge of the clients business and become the subject matter expert for the clients programs
Manage all deliverables pertaining to the clients projects Take accountability for high quality of deliverables
Responsible for the scheduling of internal resources to get the job done correctly and on time Maintain project plans, and schedules, assist in acquiring business requirements from both internal and external stakeholders
Preparation of Scopes of Work Turn in-depth business requirements into easy to understand program rules that are easy to understand by users of the system Handle high level customer service escalations
Track, monitor, control, and report on all active projects
