The technical business analyst will support the business development requirements of the Functional Group and technical investigations duties of the Projects Group, resulting in both technical and business analysis of technologies. Processes, materials or startup companies. It will act as a key interface between the groups.
Engage with Legal, Intellectual Property, R&D, Marketing and other departments as directed from time to time to solicit support and or information.
Comprehend and link the requirements for a successful business solution and robust technical research within any project assignment. Engage with the R&D teams for input, data and background regarding corporate processes, methods that may impact any recommendations. Support the evaluation of technologies and product designs with compliance to scientific principles, engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements and related specifications.
Contribute to team effort by providing innovative ideas for products and processes and by sharing new information with others team members
Support the ideation process while identifying gaps in the current product or manufacturing technology to guide provide future R&D efforts. Analyzes Engineering results and proposes product changes to determine feasibility, improvement of component and systems, and functional and performance specifications.
Correlates experimental data to simulation data.
Confers with others project engineers to clarify or resolve problems and develop designs.
Maintain proper filing systems to ensure all information, (electronic or hard copy), is stored according to departments requirements.
Provide Engineering support to other departments within the company as directed by the department leader.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks
Responsible for keeping the organization abreast of developments in his/her R&D programs.
Prepares project progress reports.
Continuing education and/or training is critical as technology evolves.

Knowledge and Education
University Degree (Bachelor's) in Engineering, other Technical subject. SW, EE or Sys. Engineering, CS, ESE, applied physics preferred. University Degree (Master's) in Business Administration or similar discipline preferred.
3-5 years of experience in ADAS/Active Safety engineering and/or SW/Control engineering preferred. Knowledge of the business environment and associated segments such as legal, finance, marketing etc.
Technical aptitude to understand technology from first principals, engineering, materials and manufacturing subjects. Ability to analyze and rationalize complex situations and communicate results and recommendations
Understanding of business principals, start-ups, business development and technology development.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with ability to independently use Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to support projects with limited supervision and work harmoniously in a multi-cultural team environment.
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally for varying lengths of time.
Internships/past work experience in automotive industry preferred
