Description: Primary responsibilities of the Solutions Architect are to work with stakeholders across the NA Branded Cards and Retail Services business areas, GCT globally, CATE, and other supporting CTO groups to develop the technical approach for a project that drives implementation through design and development. Deliverables are aligned to goals as follows (for assigned projects).- Review new products and technologies according to defined processes including Citi Systems Inventory (CSI) submissions, Citi Technology Catalog (CTC), Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), Proof-of-concept (POC).- Contribute to the NA Citicorp Roadmap by providing LOB and Cross-LOB specific updates on planned/funded technology initiatives. - Advance the agile SDLC approach to delivery and influence the on-time delivery of projects.- Create the design charter (or design direction) for projects based on architectural significance including new products / 3rd party external services and significant re-engineering of existing systems. Present the proposed architecture to senior sponsors and approvers. Review designs according the SDLC milestones to ensure adoption of the approved architecture.- Review assigned projects on the LOB release plan-of-record for architectural significance and level of engagement, and be able to translate the non-functional requirements into volumetrics for systems capacity analysis.- Drive adoption of G2C solutions defined by the Global Consumer Technology Reference Architecture.- Influence the Reference Architecture to mitigate gaps, and apply established standards and best practices working with Cross Product Architecture and Global Product Management
Qualifications:A minimum of 7 years of experience in the field of Information Technology including positions in development, systems administration, and architecture. Possess a high level of competency in the following areas.1. Strong depth in 2 or more of the listed technology skillset areas and a broad understanding across multiple technology disciplines.2. Ability to lead stakeholders across the organization at all levels to consensus in asserting an architecture which aligns the business objectives with GCT strategy.3. Knowledge of Citi systems and an understanding of innovation in the IT and financial industries4. Execution of governance in the adoption of standards through defined processesArchitecture Skillset- Experience with JSON/RESTful APIs and Java Springboot micro-services deployed to platform as a service (PaaS) cloud [Pivotal Cloud Foundry and/or OpenShift]. - An understanding of external cloud hosting providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and IBM Bluemix- Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to engage one-on-one at all levels of the organization or present to business and technical stakeholders.- Technical aptitude and experience across a wide range of platforms refer to Technical Skillset- A deep understanding of software delivery including traditional process driven waterfall, agile and variances of each.- A sound ability to work within a team and build consensus towards a technical direction- IT delivery experience involving infrastructure and applications through concept, development, validation, deployment, and support- Product evaluation through RFI/RFP including working with vendors and internal stakeholder groups to align features, technology, and cost to meeting the business objectives.Technology Skillset (and tools)- J2EE architecture, development and deployment (IBM WebSphere Suite)- Database systems including RDBMS (Oracle, DB2) and Information Architecture concepts related to modeling, ETL, and data governance.- BI/analytics technologies including SAS, R, Teradata, Hadoop, data science and visualization tools- Integration technologies for middleware and enterprise service bus (ESB) including Red Hat JBoss Fuse/Camel, Tibco BusinessWorks / EMS, and message protocols/formats (JMS, MQ, SOAP, JSON, XML).- Business Process, Rules, and Event Management systems including Red Hat JBPM/BRMS, Pega, Tibco AMX BPM and FICO Blaze- Salesforce Gorce.com, Service Cloud, Financial Service Cloud, and Lightning Framework- Software and hardware infrastructure including Linux/AIX (and/or other UNIX), zOS/MVS, Windows Server platforms- Security concepts and technologies related to authentication (MFA, risk based authentication, biometrics, SAML/OAUTH), authorization, encryption, data protection, threat prevention, and S-SDLC best practices including one-time-password (OTP), SSL, PKI, DDoS remediation, anti-malware detection, and application scanning.- Customer communication and correspondence technologies for paper (HP Dialog), image (Kodak), chat, co-browse, video, SMS/email.- Voice platforms including NICE auto-dialer/recording, IVR/ACD, VOIP, soft-phone client and integration.- Cross-channel servicing application frameworks including contact center (native Java framework, Chordiant, Pega), internet/mobile/tablet (HTML5).- Mainframe application platform including COBOL, JCL, VSAM- Technical architecture and development experience with JSON/RESTful APIs and Java Springboot micro-services deployed to platform as a service (PaaS) cloud [Pivotal Cloud Foundry]. - Experience in digital marketing including the full lifecycle from Big Data Analytics and model development to real-time omni-channel decision services based on the Hadoop tech stack, Spark, H2O, Apache BRMS, and 3rd party Data Management / Data Service Platforms.Non-technology Skillset- Influencing skills and preferred experience working across many areas and levels of an organization - Governance to IT Strategies, Roadmaps, Application Portfolio Management, Technology Standards Management. - Process optimization, standardization, and implementation- Good communication and collaboration skill.
