THE OPPORTUNITY

Utilizing experience gained in the space of animal nutrition, this person will be a key contributor as a member of the company's division that is going to be the most significant growth engine driving the company?s overall 5-year plan. The ideal person for this role will contribute to the success of customers across multiple markets through delivery of superior technical service and expertise. The division will also partner with third party technology providers to explore and develop novel yeast solutions. 

This role will canvas the North American animal nutrition industry to identify bespoke yeast product sales opportunities as well as understand potential unique, value-added NPD projects; initial focus will be on companies servicing the ruminant sector and eventually expanding to include poultry, swine, and aquaculture sectors. Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other stakeholders in the animal nutrition industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

?Manage product evaluations and development trials with key customers and research institutes. 

?Participate in the development and execution of sales and marketing plans.

?Provide feedback on market developments and customer requirements to steer innovative research and development.

?Deliver technical presentations and demonstrate how our products meet client needs. 

?Manage and interpret customer requirements ? speak with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs. 

?Generate technical sales proposals and contracts (Statement of Work, Services Proposals).

?Maintain records of customer communication and sales activity and established internal communication systems. 

?Participate in trade shows, conferences and othermarketingevents. 

?Prospect for new clients who might benefit from company products or services. 

?Support/recommend budget, expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work.

?Collect and assimilate market intelligence including, but not exclusive to, competitive pricing and contracting practices, new product development / introductions and sample collection Human Resources.

?Comply with all HR policies and procedures. 

?Comply with relevant employment laws. 

?Other duties as assigned. 

REQUIREMENTS

?Experience and credibility in commercial nutrition, either through practical commercial nutrition or an advanced degree in animal nutrition (PhD preferred) 

?Solid understanding of feed and livestock industries with a proven track record of achievements in commercial animal nutrition or feed additives/ingredients in N. America 

?Ability to operate within a team structure, while taking accountability for your own areas of responsibility 

?Enjoys a fast-paced and passionate working environment where your contributions have an immediate impact 

?Innovative and capable of broad thinking coupled with practicality 

?Excellent interpersonal skills 

?Ability to see problems clearly and resolve them. Sound judgements based on good insights and analytical rigor. 

?Understanding of AFFCO (Association of American Feed Control Officials) standards and regulations

?Approx. 75% travelrequired.
