Major Duties

TheTechnical Account Manager develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. In this role you will beresponsible for work that is less defined in scope, utilize your understanding andexperience to execute business objectives and impact the direction of the business. This role is a directreportto the Commercial Team Manager.

Responsibilities

• Own sales to assigned customers through the formulation and execution for strategies and plans that capitalize on the customer’s strengths as supplemented by products and services • Build customer relationships with the assigned customers and develop these relationships in multiple levels of the organization • Support the assigned customers in sales activities and provide assistance to the customers in identifying new opportunities • Responsible for meeting sales and margin targets • Negotiatecontracts asrequired • Maintain knowledge ofmarket trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base • Work with marketing and product line to develop project specific sales strategies for assigned customers • Make recommendations for continued growth • Provide technical expertise in selecting, implementing, and developing competitive product applications and solutions • Provide training and technical trouble-shooting as needed • Make customer calls and presentations and participate in bid meetings and walk-through meetings with the customer as necessary • Assess competitive system performance and find opportunities for our product solutions

Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree (in Engineering preferred) from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in a sales, support, or marketing field) • At least 5 years of experience in a commercial environment with Sales, Customer & Product Support, or application engineering • Willingness and ability to travel 30% of the time • Strong presentation skills • Strong creative problem solving skills • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Strong customer mindset • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization • Prior experience with customer specifications review, proposal development, and contract development and negotiations is preferred • Ability to bring an innovative approach to complicated problem solving
