Where the Chemistry Happens…
This position represents our client company by contacting established and prospective customers in the assigned territory for the purpose of servicing our client company’s cleaning & sanitation programs. This position also provides technical service support, ensuring safe product performance. The qualified candidate will assist the Technical Sales Managers in maximizing territory profitability by managing product (technology) mix and optimizing product usage.

Sales Territory Service and Planning
Gains an understanding of the business activities of accounts in the territory and applies knowledge of the customer’s internal operation to plan an itinerary of calls to allocate time effectively and to ensure proper territory coverage by industry, geography and account potential
Calls on established and prospective customers, determines their needs, and sells appropriate products to markets, targeted by the business units of the company. Makes proper number of calls per day based on territory requirements. Must be able to physically service and call on existing and prospective customers
Selects the process and the right material to solve customer cleaning and sanitation problems. Selections are made under limitations set by the individual production and maintenance schedules of the industrial plants being served
Participates in sales presentations, both orally and in writing. Answers questions concerning product use
Quotes price and delivery policy within established limits, subject to approval
Works closely with customers who buy and use our client company's products, by building strong business relationships
Maintains contacts with customers in relation to their service requirements
Provides information on new products, methods, techniques and other general information such as safety and disposal
Trains customers and insures proper and safe use of our client company's materials
Ingredients for success: What we look for in successful candidates:
BS Degree, preferably in a science, or the equivalent in training or experience
Must have 2-3years’ experience selling into the Specialty Chemicals Industry, specifically selling Sanitation and Industrialcleaners into Food Processing and Manufacturing Plants or Operations, Production experience.
Ability to make sales presentations and follow up with written proposals
Well organized with sales planning and territory management skills
Working knowledge of sanitation and industrial cleaning
History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude
High energy, self-starters with the ability to overcome customer objections
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
