Description:   The Threat Intelligence Team Manager is leading the team supporting, developing, administering, and validating the processes and tools to monitor and track the threat and risk to information security. In addition, the team manager is responsible for security forensics. Security forensics is the process of extracting information and data from computers to serve as digital evidence for civil purposes, in many cases, to prove and legally prosecute cyber-crime.   Responsibilities:  

  • Manage a staff of information security professional, hire and train new staff, and conduct performance reviews
  • Provide leadership and coaching including technical and personal development programs for team members
  • Coordinate operational components of incident management including detection, response, and reporting
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the threat and vulnerability, identify risk tolerance, recommend treatment plans and communicate information about residual risk

Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS degree in Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • 15+ years of work experience
  • 7-10 years of IT experience
  • 5-7 years in an information security role
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Ability to interact with other Honda companies personnel, build strong relationships at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and understand business imperatives
  • Leadership skills and ability to work effectively with business managers, IT engineering, and IT operations staff
  • Develop and guide information security team members and IT operations personnel with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of identity and access management principles
  • Understanding of security tools, network protocols, identity and access management
  • Project management skills and experience in creating and managing project plans, including budgeting and resource allocation
  • Security management certifications such as Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or similar credentials desired
