ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position is for Lead Network Engineer.
• Design, implementation and troubleshooting of network infrastructure technologies and solutions for both Internet Service Providers (ISP) and Enterprise. Verification of network availability and capacity planning and forecasting.
• Working with Internet service provider for enabling the BGP peering and provisioning of Content Delivery Networks (CDN).
• Performing Network infrastructure operation and maintenance code upgrades/provisioning for multiple vendors.
• Implementing IP networking protocols for Internal and External data connectivity between Point of Presence (PoPs) and Datacenters.
• Provisioning Optical long haul communication devices with DWDM network Protocol.
• Conceive and execute Methods of Procedures (MOP) to perform network changes with minimal downtime.
• Orchestrate and lead the execution of network changes involving multiple vendors and technicians.
• Create technical specs with all the network elements involved and create Bill of Materials (BoM).
• Working with Internal stake holders Sourcing, Capacity Planning, Technical Project Managers to have regular sync and to ensure the deliverables as per the defined/ agreed timelines.
• Leading the development and writing Python and Linux shell scripts to automate the use of in-house built applications for network troubleshooting for IP backbone and Peering provisioning teams.
• Test the performance and functionality of Network, Optical gear, and applications performance.
• Working with remote hand support and ISP Engineers for physical and logical connectivity.
• Working with Principal vendor TAC (Technical Assistance Center) & HTTS (High Touch Technical Support) teams of network and optical OEM vendors.
• Job Requirements: Required Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in CS, CIS, MIS, Engineering (Any), or any related field +5 years of experience with the same or similar job duties but given another designation. Must be able to travel/relocate to various client sites throughout the US.
