Reporting to the Head of Human Capital Data & Analytics, the Data & Analytics Lead will provide leadership to a team of analysts and deliver BI solutions for the Human resources area. The ideal candidate will have a strategic perspective, an aptitude for collaborating with business partners and a focus on delivering actionable insights. A strong focus on change management and adoption is also a key success criteria for the position.

This role will conduct analysis by driving and testing hypotheses around critical business issues or objectives, partner across the organization in a proactive, consultative manner to establish action plans, develop sustainable metrics and provide critical insight into how to best achieve enterprise business and talent objectives.

The Data & Analytics Lead will identify innovation opportunities, engage with business partners to provide thought leadership and direction on appropriate use and understanding of HR data while ensuring alignment with the overall data and analytics strategy.


  • Lead a team of Analysts advancing the BI and reporting capabilities across Human Resources
  • Manage the demand intake process and work queue
  • Design and build reports, processes, and analyses with a variety of business intelligence technologies (e.g. SQL, MSBI, Tableau, Excel)
  • Consult with internal customers (e.g., Talent, Health & Wellness, Compensation, HR Business Partners) to develop analyses that help deliver impactful, actionable insights
  • Improve process efficiencies to spend less time on data preparation and reporting and more time on analytics
  • Business own the Human Resources Tableau environment and Dashboard delivery methodology
  • Train and advise Analysts in Tableau development and visual best practices
  • Apply data visualization principles and best practices to effectively tell the story behind large, complex data sets
  • Work with multiple data sources and platforms to create integrated views that enhances customer access to information and promote a data driven culture
  • Support existing production and ad hoc reporting needs cross various legacy systems
  • Build and foster relationships with technical partners
  • Subject matter expert in understanding HR metrics, including demonstrated success in leveraging human capital metrics to perform root cause analysis, create action plans and measure results
  • Proven capability in developing and implementing standard KPIs and metrics that align to enterprise and business KPIs and help drive critical insights
  • This role could be filled at a T7 or T6 depending upon experience


  • Confirmed ability to design exhibits, dashboards and presentations that "tell a compelling story"
  • Deep understanding of HR practices and processes, broad understanding of business and functional objectives and processes and proven ability to provide relevant metrics aligned to those objectives and processes
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with a proven ability to influence all levels in an organization and with vendor partners; demonstrated success in leading others to a shared vision and common framework
  • Strong consulting skills; proven ability to gather and define requirements and successfully deliver results
  • Ability to mentor and coach a team in BI delivery, consultative engagement and data visualization design and best practice
  • Ability to shift between strategic thinking and partnership and focusing on more immediate tactical assignments
  • Technical knowledge: minimum 3-5 years' experience with various tools used for data exploration and business intelligence (e.g. Toad, SQL, Oracle, SAS, R, Business Objects, Excel, MSBI, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, Alteryx)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience with Tableau Desktop and Server in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum 3-5 years managing a BI team preferred
  • Minimum 1-3 years working in an Agile development environment
  • Intermediate level SQL skills (3+ years)
  • Conceptual knowledge of data warehouse design and usage
  • Conceptual knowledge of Modern BI architecture including Cloud deployments, Big data environments and tools/languages/ platforms
  • Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical users at all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to work on multiple concurrent projects
  • Entrepreneurial spirit - self-motivated, strong sense of ownership/accountability, and results oriented with the ability to manage time and schedules effectively
  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or related critical thinking discipline
