As a member of the State & Local Tax team you will report to and work with Partners of the Firm. The primary responsibility will be to manage the tax compliance automation system to ensure effectiveness, efficiencies and profitability. Other responsibilities include:

Tax Consulting

Project/Task Management

Engagement Lead/Management

New Business Development

Recruitment

Staff Management and Development

Personal and Professional Development

You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the broader CohnReznick team in delivering the highest quality service to our clients; interact directly with our clients on a regular basis to better understand and serve their needs; and grow and develop your career with support and mentoring from experienced CPAs in the accounting, auditing, and tax areas of the firm, as well as through your regular participation in internal and external Continuing Professional Education programs. Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Tax is a plus

CPA or JD is required

Minimum of 15 years of tax experience relating to sales/use taxes

Solid experience leading tax compliance automation software projects; including knowledge of Thomson Reuters OneSource, Vertex or other software

Solid experience in researching and addressing multi-state sales/use tax matters

Proven competence with MS Office, including advanced Excel skills

Working knowledge of tax software, including CCH and RIA Checkpoint

Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task

Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills

Travel required - approximately 25% .
