This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and hardworking Tax Accountant to join ICON’s highlyprofessional and experienced in-house finance department. You will be in a position where you can make an impact globally and support ICON’s mission to help its clients to accelerate the development of drugs and medical devices that save patient lives and improve their quality of life. The Role As Tax Accountant you will support the US Tax Director in managing a variety of income and non-income tax compliance, provisioning and compliance for ICON’s US operations and selected non US entities within ICON’s tax function. You will work with ICON’s finance function and wider business on a global scale. Role responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining excellent working relationships with internal finance team and local external advisers toensure compliance with tax filings and payment obligations across each of your entities utilizing the Onesource software solution and provision of audit defense support as required;
  • Ensuring compliance with local transfer pricing regulations with the framework of ICON’s overall business model;
  • Keeping up to date with legislative developments in US and your assigned countries and ensuring the implications of all legislative changes are addressed appropriately;
  • Ensuring accurate and timely quarterly US GAAP reporting through the utilization of the Longview tax provision software solution.
  • Providing commercially focused and actionable tax support in respect of US business operations.
  • Providing tax advice and support for projects relevant to your entities.
  • Any other relevant duties as the Director may see fit.

Experience & Knowledge Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant – CPA or qualified by experience
  • 5+ years’ experience within Tax accounting
  • Excellent Onesource compliance software (or the equivalent) knowledge required.
  • Proven US GAAP tax accounting knowledge required in addition to strong Federal, multi-state and local compliance knowledge.
  • Ability to research and propose resolutions on complex tax issues.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Must possess superior organizational and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills set and solid experience with tax financial data.
  • Sales/Use, property tax experiences a plus.
