LinkedIn Talent Solutions, Go-To-Market Sales Operations and Strategy Sales Senior Associate

The Go-To-Market (GTM) Sales Strategy & Operations Associate is a highly visible role within the largest business line of one the fastest growing brands in consumer internet. The role acts as an advisor to executives in the global sales, product, and operations teams, and is responsible for helping crack the most important strategic and operational issues facing Talent Solutions in new product launches.

This position offers a candidate with traditional (consulting / investment banking / finance / corp. Strategy / product) or startup experience an exciting and high-profile opportunity to influence the trajectory of a significant portion of LinkedIn’s overall business, interact with LinkedIn’s most senior sales and cross-functional professionals, and transition into an operating role with one of the fastest growing companies on the web.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Metrics Definitions & Governance:
  • Define and enforce standard sales metrics to evaluate new product launches
  • Work with product launch teams to inform and partner on how they define success, what metrics they track, and how they set targets
  • Financial Metrics & Targets:
  • Work with cross-functional teams (e.g. BizOps, Finance) to set product targets and monitor progress via forecasting
  • Own setting and tracking progress vs. goals for new product field initiatives, including financial targets
  • Compensation Strategy:
  • Help to determine how the Solutions team (and broader Sales team) is incentivized on new products
  • Operational Rigor & Design:
  • Work with cross-functional teams (e.g. PMM) to help inform pre-sales support models and drive operational rigor on the way we bring new products to market
  • Inform key systems and policy decisions for new products, working closely with relevant partners
  • Analytics Support:
  • Own quantitative story for new product portfolio and support specific product deep-dives, including how rollouts are performing

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years work experience in management consulting, sales, strategy, operations, product, or finance
  • 3+ years developing reports, metrics and dashboards with SQL, and Tableau

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal communication experience with senior management
  • Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments
  • Deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
