The talent acquisition specialist is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle recruiting to our organization. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing excellent internal client support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.
This role will work in collaboration with the HR Manager, hiring managers, and senior leadership to establish and deliver a pipeline of qualified talent to meet the strategic goals of the organization. By building and leveraging internal and external networks, this role will source, screen, and facilitate the selection of top engineering and technical talent.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Maintain a best in class experience for all candidates and hiring managers that reflects Hanson’s great culture Develop and promote our employer brand, understand and leverage prevalent sources for each candidate pool, such as social media, and establish engaging and efficient pre-boarding and onboardingprocesses Consult with hiring managers and business leaders to build out strategies to attract talent to meet the strategic goals of the business Seek continuous improvement of the recruiting function, enhancing processes, leveraging innovative technologies, and providing analytics Set and maintain standards for the assessment and selection of talent across all job levels, especially seeking effective and efficient processes for high volume hiring Provide thought leadership on emerging trends influencing the talent acquisition role for our industry Build relationships with college, university and community college placement offices Ensure AAP requirements are being met through strategic posting efforts Partner with the business to further enhance efforts with Minority Participation program, Job Shadow program, and Internship program Schedule and attend career and intern fairs to generate qualified applicants with appropriate staff Screen and refer qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing Partner with L&D manager to develop and conduct training for hiring managers with the goal of improving the recruiting process Develop and track recruitment and new hire metrics and analytics and provide updates to hiring managers and HR team
