Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Manager serves as a strategic people leader responsible for
developing and executing Westcliff University's talent acquisition strategy to support
institutional growth, workforce planning, and organizational excellence. This role leads
recruiting operations across multiple business functions and partners closely with
executive leadership, HR Business Partners, and hiring managers to attract, assess, and
hire exceptional talent aligned with Westcliff's mission and long-term objectives.
The Talent Acquisition Manager oversees a team of Talent Acquisition professionals and is
accountable for building scalable recruiting infrastructure, strengthening employer brand
presence, optimizing hiring processes, leveraging data-driven decision making, and
ensuring an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
This role requires balancing strategic talent planning with operational execution in a
dynamic, fast-paced environment experiencing continued expansion across campuses,
academic programs, and business functions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Strategy & Workforce Planning
• Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise talent acquisition strategy
aligned with organizational priorities, workforce plans, growth projections, and
institutional objectives.
• Partner with executive leadership, HR, and business leaders to forecast talent
needs and develop proactive hiring plans.
• Advise leaders on labor market trends, compensation competitiveness, talent
availability, and recruitment strategy.
• Build scalable recruiting programs and processes that support growth across
academic and operational functions.
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Talent Acquisition team through clear
goals, accountability, performance management, and ongoing development.
• Establish performance standards and service-level expectations across recruiting
activities.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, operational excellence, innovation, and
continuous improvement.
• Develop succession and capability plans for recruiting team members.
Recruiting Operations & Process Excellence
• Oversee end-to-end recruiting operations, including sourcing strategy, candidate
experience, interview effectiveness, offer processes, and onboarding partnership.
• Ensure recruiting workflows, approvals, and hiring practices are efficient,
compliant, scalable, and aligned with institutional standards.
• Continuously improve recruiting processes through automation, technology
optimization, and process redesign.
• Manage requisition prioritization and resource allocation across business needs.
Talent Intelligence, Analytics & Reporting
• Establish and monitor recruiting KPIs including time-to-fill, time-to-start, quality of
hire, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, hiring manager satisfaction, and
pipeline conversion.
• Deliver executive-level dashboards and workforce insights to support business
decisions.
• Utilize recruiting analytics and market intelligence to identify opportunities and
drive continuous improvement.
Employer Brand & Candidate Experience
• Partner with Marketing and HR leadership to strengthen employer brand strategy
and elevate Westcliff's employment value proposition.
• Develop innovative sourcing approaches through digital recruiting, networking,
referrals, events, partnerships, and talent communities.
• Champion a differentiated and inclusive candidate experience that reflects
Westcliff's values and culture.
Vendor & Program Management
• Manage relationships with recruiting agencies, external partners, advertising
channels, and recruitment technologies.
• Monitor recruiting expenditures and support budget planning and resource
optimization.
• Lead or support strategic initiatives including acquisitions, organizational growth
initiatives, workforce redesign, and talent-related projects.
Salary Description
$100,000 to $120,000
