Scope:The Director of Talent Acquisition, North America will provide leadership for the overall strategy, execution, operations and employment branding functions for TTM Technologies, Inc. This is a unique opportunity since the Talent Acquisition Director will be able to reside in any of our site locations across North America. The qualified candidate will have over fifteen years of experience in Talent Acquisition, preferably in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment, and over five years of experience leading a Talent Acquisition function. Responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and long-term vision of the team, building and improving on operational recruitment processes, and the development of the employment brand and talent pipelines to attract and select top talent for the organization are a few of the most important aspects of this role. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this person will lead the North American Talent Acquisition Team and have close partnerships with remote leaders, including our site Human Resources Teams. As the company continues to grow, we are looking for someone to join our team with an entrepreneurial spirit and a focus on designing the strategy, leveraging the TTM brand, deploying social media concepts and initiatives, measuring success, and shaping the Talent Acquisition function. Duties and Responsibilities:Talent

  • Provide thought leadership and strategically identify sources of top talent for hard to fill positions and to meet the short and long-term talent needs of the organization
  • Develop key initiatives for recruiting diverse talent
  • Oversee and advise on various recruitment related programs including contingent worker process, immigration, relocation, expatriate assignments, pre-employment screening and annual background screening process
  • Support acquisition activity to ensure a positive new hire experience for new teammates
  • Guide and influence senior management on strategic Talent Acquisition issues across multiple functions/locations
  • Ensure continuity and consistency of candidate acquisition strategy, company culture, and recruiting best-practices
  • Serve as the key relationship manager of external third party vendors to ensure our current and future investments are optimized
  • Lead the development of talent pipelines and programs (university, military and diversity) to ensure the growth of talent pools to support the needs of the business

Leadership

  • Lead, guide and develop a team of qualified recruitment professionals, including managing team capacity and requisition allocation to ensure all hiring goals are achieved
  • Build strong relationships and partnerships with hiring managers, leaders and executives to advise on best practices, key hiring decisions and workforce planning
  • Provide leadership to direct reports and ensure a highly capable team through the attraction, training and development of the necessary skilled professionals to meet business needs

Brand

  • Partner with marketing team to develop and enhance the employment branding initiatives

Systems and Metrics

  • Work closely with Human Resources colleagues domestically and globally on key initiatives for the organization, such as system implementations, hiring policies, processes, etc.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to meet the changing needs of the organization and to remove obstacles throughout the recruitment process
  • Participate in company training initiatives that support interviewing and hiring best practices, including behavioral interview training
  • Expand on current reporting and metrics to provide data used for hiring decisions and managing team performance
  • Use data to develop and analyze key metrics to understand and improve recruiting effectiveness

  • Accountable for the on-time implementation of Talent Acquisition performance objectives
  • Accountable for the thorough implementation of Talent Acquisition initiatives

Organizational Alignment:

  • Reports to the Director of Human Resources-AMI&I
  • Directly manages two or more Talent Acquisition team members
  • Directs the support of Talent Acquisition team members, implementation of programs and resources, and other Talent Acquisition duties as needed
  • Fosters close, cooperative relationships with peer leaders and Human Resources team

Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent required
  • SHRM SCP Certification preferred
  • Over 15 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, preferably in a fast paced Manufacturing environment
  • Over 5 years of experience leading a Talent Acquisition function
  • Vendor Management experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfortable working across all levels of an organization and have the ability to manage up, across, or down
  • A dynamic professional with strong business acumen
