  • You have 8+ years of experience as technical lead in an IT support organization
  • You have 3+ years of experience with database administration in an Oracle/SQL Server environment
  • You have 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server technologies
  • You have 8+ years of full life-cycle application development and advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • You have an active Top Secret clearance

We'll REALLY love you if... (This is the bonus stuff that makes you stand out)

  • You have experience with Software Change, Configuration and Release Management 
  • You have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • You have experience with software change management tools (e.g. MKS, PHIRE, Remedy, etc.)
  • You have a proven track record of managing a medium to large team of systems administrators (database and applications) 
  • You are familiar with the following:
    • Oracle Enterprise Linux
    • PeopleSoft PeopleTools
    • Oracle Enterprise Manager
    • NetIQ AppManager Suite

What your day will look like:

  • You'll interface with the Chief of Operations and Architecture Branch (OAB), Enterprise Services Division, Executive Office (EX), Bureau of Human Resources (HR), Department of State (DOS) and recommend resource level requirements based on workload
  • You'll review impacts of new applications on current environment and triage requests and reported issues
  • You'll coordinate and communicate policy changes with team members and and address technical questions from team members and developers
  • You'll maintain uptime and visibility of all continuous builds and environments
  • You'll provide weekend/off hours support where needed
